Saturday Joe & I traveled South to Austin, Texas, our state capital, for the 2nd annual
Maker Faire and
Bazaar Bizarre. It was an event with a vaudevillian feel that consisted of everything from a life size game of
Mousetrap to embroidery. We were so glad that we decided to attend this awesome event & look forward to next year's which is sure to be even bigger & better. We met so many wonderful artists, crafters & designers at Bazaar Bizarre. Several of the vendors also have storefronts at
The Shops @ Funky Finds, such as
Tara to the T,
Harrilu, and
Nerdbomber. I will be featuring various vendors from the event in the days to come.

Amanda of
Loop + Lil creates one-of-a-kind baby and toddler clothes. She also handcrafts accessories for children and adults using vintage and vintage-inspired fabrics. The
onesie & bib gift sets are adorable!
If I've said it once I've said it a million times...I love hedgehogs!
Katy Kristin's booth was full of
gnomes &
hedgehogs, two of my favorite things. She also creates lovely accessories & apparel.
Collin Welsch is a lawyer turned artist based in Austin. Her
Day of the Dead inspired artwork portrays skeletons in everyday settings, such as salons and on the beach. Her
Tree of Life collection is also wonderful.
