Spaceships and Laser Beams

The handmade market seems to be flooded with cute items for girly girls. But what about the boys? They want cool handmade stuff, too! Thanks to the Etsy collective Spaceships and Laser Beams there's more boyish items to choose from. This group illustrates DIY party supplies just for boys & they have developed a special-edition cupcake wrapper for Valentine's Day that boys are sure to love. It can be hard to find Valentine's cupcakes that appeal to boys, so the idea behind this cupcake wrapper is to look at Valentine's Day from a little boy's perspective: Ewww. Girls. Ewwww. Kissing. Ewwww. From far away, the wrapper looks as though it's turquoise with red hearts. But up close you realize those aren't hearts at all - they're germs and cooties. Awesome! This unique perspective was illustrated & designed by Andrew, the only male designer in this collective. And, the icing on the cupcake so to speak, is that 5% of all sales are donated to the YMCA Strong Kids campaign that aims to help young boys grow in to strong young men. Visit the Spaceships and Laser Beams blog that covers all things boy party related.

The bird and tree invitation is perfect for a wedding, shower, or any other celebration. If you're looking for something a bit bolder, there's the flourish save the date and Damask invitation. Perhaps my favorite design is the fun popcorn invitation suitable for children's parties or even an Oscar celebration. Also available are beautiful personalized notecards and stylish letterhead.

Tan-je-reen Design

Melanie Gaffney owns the online stationery boutique Tan-je-reen Design. But before she is a small business owner, she is first and foremost a mommy to a wonderful little boy. Unfortunately, her wonderful little boy is also the inspiration for her latest creation, the Not So Naughty cards. These cards are a novel way to break the ice with other parents & hopefully forge a friendship in the end. Tan-je-reen also offers lots of great stationery that is perfect for gift giving and note sending. There are many designs to choose from that can be personalized, my favorite being the retro flowers. And, no matter what the occasion, you will find many great invitation designs, as well. Melanie has invites for weddings, children's parties and more. You definitely do not want to miss the Sweet Tanjereen section featuring stylish handmade gifts and accessories. Receive a 15% discount on your order with coupon code funkyfinds. Receive a 20% discount on orders of $75.00 or more with coupon code 20off75!

Anahata

Anahata is another funky company that participated in the recent Spring Fling. I love the wraps so much that I purchased one for myself a few weeks ago. The wraps are made from silk that is salvaged from discarded Saris from India. Each wrap is reversible and unlike any other wrap. What I love about these comfortable and beautiful pieces is that they are versatile. The possibilities are truly endless as the wraps can be worn so many different ways. You can fashion your wrap to be worn as a skirt, dress, top & more. I also love that it can be worn alone or paired with jeans or leggings for a different look. Another fun aspect is that Anahata hosts wrap parties where you can bring your wrap and learn new ways to work it. I hope to see you at a party soon!

The Merry Martini

Kelly Owens combines her love of the tropics with her appreciation of southern hospitality to create The Merry Martini. This boutique is full of unique gifts, tips for entertaining, assistance with party planning, fabulous recipes, and Kelly's thoughts on making each day a celebration. The Merry Martini has everything you will need to throw a fabulous party ranging from accessories to music. The decorative metal tubs are perfect for icing down lots of drinks while adding a bit of flair to your event. Of course I am thrilled to find all the terrific gifts for pet lovers, as well as friends & family. Be sure to enter the April giveaway for your chance to win six Place Tile Place Cards with pen & eraser from The Merry Martini.

clinQs

Jeila Guermarian developed clinQs reusable vinyl drink decals. These decals are a fun & decorative way to avoid a beverage mix-up at parties, the office, meetings, etc. clinQs can be used with almost any drink container, as well as hot or cold beverages. They are also waterproof & never lose their ability to stick. You can even pop them in the microwave! The festive Happy clinQmas set is perfect for holiday gatherings. Other designs range from gnomes (which I love!) to celebratory birthday decals. clinQs would also make a great hostess gift.

And the winner of the Deck the Halls giveaway is KTLuv. Congratulations! Please contact me with your mailing address & I will get your goodies to you asap. Thanks to everyone who participated!
