One Star Designs

One Star Designs features one-of-a-kind wearable art created by Jennifer Julian. I love the electric Frankenstein charm bracelet. It's not only eye-catching, but the little charms are like special little treats you discover when examining the piece for a moment. Billed as the perfect bracelet for any Rockabilly Betty, the Cherries & Dice Oh My bracelet is another show stopper. As far as the bracelets go, I have to declare the One Sunny Hello Kitty Day (pictured) as my absolute favorite. This is the perfect accessory for Spring & I can think of few things that would put me in a better mood than a great Hello Kitty accessory. In addition to the funky bracelets, Jenn also offers unique earrings and necklaces.

Atomic Holiday Bazaar - December 12 & 13

Atomic Holiday Bazaar, Sarasota, Florida’s first and only indie craft show, is slated for two shows featuring DIY craft. In it's fourth year, the Atomic Holiday Bazaar continues to be held at the downtown Sarasota Municipal Auditorium. This year the event introduces a Saturday Night Show on December 12, from 5-11:30 p.m., 18 and over with a $7 admission. The Saturday evening craft show will present 40 crafters who infuse their dark-hearted creations with splashes of punk, dabs of rock and jabs of general tuffness. The evening’s entertainment includes burlesque performances by Moxie Le Femme and live music raining down upon the crowd like a foamy PBR with rockabilly-punk rock by The Redliners, The Dead Popes and Viva Le Vox. Two fashion shows produced by Doll Face, Inc., will showcase vintage clothing from Silly Rabbit Vintage and Vintage Stew in addition to a second fashion show featuring rocka-billy-licious clothing designed by Joanna Coblentz of Doll Face, Inc., and Adrien Lucas of Tuff Betty Bags.

Atomic Holiday Bazaar celebrates its fourth Sunday show on December 13, from Noon - 6 p.m. The event is an all ages show with a $5 admission. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge. The Sunday craft show will feature over 80 crafters that create amusing handmade DIY crafts. Holiday shopping offerings include handbags, t-shirts, jewelry, body products, home décor, baby items, plushies, a smidge of art and even canned goods. This is not your granny’s craft show! Free cotton totes will be handed out by the Bradentucky Bomber roller derby team to the first 100 adults through the door. Atomic totes are a local collectible and have been screen printed by locals Clothesline & filled with swag & special offers from participating vendors. Funky Finds is a proud sponsor of this event!

DaVinci

I tend to neglect men here on Funky Finds, so I decided that this was good find men might appreciate. Do you ever watch Two & a Half Men with Charlie Sheen? He always wears cool bowling shirts on the show, and he has now teamed up with Rock & Roll Religion to launch a signature line of casual shirts. The DaVinci Collection by Charlie Sheen is a line of retro shirts that debuted in Las Vegas this month. DaVinci clothing is a high quality, California made line of casual shirts, reminiscent of the rockabilly culture born in the 1950’s. Sheen said, “The retro designs exude a sense of cool, smooth, yet effortless style. Christopher Wicks has done well with the classic DaVinci collection and I’m excited to incorporate my vision into the line.” Influenced by the martini lounges, pool halls and bowling alleys of the era, the pieces are nostalgic, yet chic without trying too hard. The DaVinci Collection by Charlie Sheen incorporates the classic DaVinci mainstays such as agoya shell buttons, retro patterns and vertical contrasting color combinations with additional detailing and embroidery to enhance each piece.

HexKitten Designs

HexKitten Designs is a rockin' shop featuring original drawings, paintings and linocuts. The red & black Love Notes is the perfect set for Valentine's Day. And how cute are the little Rockabilly cards? Hello Sailor is another fantastic image printed on archival Italian stationery. And, if you're a rock fan, you don't want to miss the VERY limited edition print titled Dead Rock Star Fetish. The subjects of this piece are deceased musicians Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison. HexKitten Design is the perfect place to find edgy and unique works of art available in a variety of forms.

Illustrated Ink

Illustrated Ink features artwork inspired by old school tattoo design and "Dia de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead) created by Austin-based artist Leila Hijazi. The Wicked Beauties rockabilly tattoo postcards are an edgy, yet fun, way to send a note. I also love the variety pack that includes a magnet, notepad and postcards all featuring high-quality prints of Leila's work. You can also purchase a print of the hauntingly beautiful piece titled Sugar Skull Beauty & Swallows. Visit Illustrated Ink's main website for more information and samples.
