Blue Carrot Shop

Blue Carrot Shop is a new site featuring vintage kitschy items curated by Alexandra Charitan. The shop stocks fun items ranging from kitchen wares to letterpress items with some handmade goodies thrown in for good measure. I love the pink vintage scale that would look great in any pink kitchen, something I would like to have one day. The linen poodle hand towel that is currently on sale is another great find. I absolutely love the fun illustrations found on the Hearts Card Game, especially the monkeys. Alexandra also has a nice collection of ephemera that would come in handy for a wide variety of projects. Check out the sale section, aptly named cheap! cheap!, for some good deals.

Snappy Shop

Snappy Shop features handmade aprons that will add a helping of fun and whimsy to your time spent in the kitchen. I love the lavender apron that has an adorable bumble bee pocket with sparkly wings. The hand-painted vintage camera apron would make the perfect gift for the shutterbug in your life. And who wouldn't love the sexy and flirty Mrs. Salad Bowl? These funky retro designs can also be found on kitchen accessories, such as pot holders.

Sin in Linen

Sin in Linen creates hot stuff for your boudoir. Their products will replace your boring linens with adventurous patterns sure to add pizzazz to your home. Their designs, inspired by pin-up, tattoo and alt-pop culture, are available as sheet sets, duvet covers, shower curtains and kitchen items. The black forever tattoo sheets are perfect for any wild child. And for those who are a bit tamer there's the embroidered swallows set. The Kiss Kiss Bang Bang sheets are also a personal favorite. Sin in Linen also has some great throw pillows, such as the heart pillow. And why not add some excitement to your kitchen as well with the tattoo pot holders & placemats?

Primrose Design

Primrose Design is currently having a blowout sale on their fabulous pillows made using vintage fabrics. Hungry as a Bear is a wonderful design & the Red Poppy is beautiful. This shop also has a terrific variety of lavender sachets made from vintage hankies, embellished tea towels, and genuine vintage aprons. All of these items would make great gifts for a variety of occasions. Be sure to check out Primrose Design's nice selection of vintage embroidery patterns, too.

Michelle Lynn Designs

Michelle Fabbrini of Michelle Lynn Designs is currently celebrating the first anniversary of her fabulous shop. Michelle specializes in creating one-of-a-kind, quality hand-crafted wares. The Domestic Goddess Wraps and Chef Aprons bring style back to the kitchen. The Buffet Retro apron is so cute I wish it was a skirt! Michelle also creates a variety of handbag styles, including the graphic Zip It bag and funky Aquarius bag. For those who prefer a smaller bag, check out all the great wristlets and clutches.

Carolyn's Kitchen

Carolyn's Kitchen features Carolyn West's vintage-inspired aprons & dish gloves. These whimsical designs are inspired by the 1940's patterns that bring to mind glamour, sexiness and cuteness of a bygone era. Carolyn mixes the domesticity of past decades with the working world of the 21st century woman by creating a business focusing on feminine domestic designs. I love the colorful Dorothy apron designs that remind me more of an adorable dress than a kitchen apron. And the Marilyn apron, featuring a bandeau top, is sure to heat up any kitchen! The fun & funky dish gloves are also sweet treats perfect for mothers, sisters, daughters, and brides.

Pomegranate Inc.

Pomegranate Inc. has produced beautiful table linens, kitchen accessories & much more for over 15 years. Their products have been available in over 2000 specialty shops, department stores, and much more. And recently, Pomegranate Inc. launched their own online shop. The light blue Provence tablecloth is beautiful. There's also a wide variety of linen napkins to choose from ranging from sea turtles to bamboo, my personal favorite. The gorgeous quilted tote bags would make a lovely gift for any special woman. Don't miss the beautiful embroidered items either. Sweet Pea Handcrafts

Sweet Pea Handcrafts offers a full line of kitchen accessories with a retro twist. If you thought aprons were a thing of the past, think again. Stylish aprons have made a big comeback in the last couple of years & the beautiful designs by Sweet Pea are no exception. The retro dishtowels would make a lovely housewarming gift, or a wonderful new addition to your own kitchen space. This week my friend Kelli has been talking about ways to consume less. One suggestion was to use cloth napkins. Sweet Pea has some beautiful ones to choose from, including sets of cocktail napkins. Have a look at all the fabulous products this company has to offer.

PataPri

If you're looking for an inexpensive way to spruce up your kitchen space this summer, check out the towels by PataPri. The bright, vibrant patterns on these silk screened towels are fabulous. My favorite is the red & blue dog print. The colorful pears are also delightful. These would make terrific housewarming presents, as well.
