AngelCow Designs

AngelCow Designs showcases hand-knit clothing & gifts created by Texas-based artist Rachel Willis. The Custom Shawl Collar Jacket Sweater is a beautiful piece that is sure to turn heads. The jacket, featuring a fold-over shawl collar, button front, and belt, can be custom-designed to fit your color and size specifications. I also like the desert-inspired Entrelac Felted Clutch Purse that's shape & colors are so unique. But my absolute favorite pieces are the hand-knit hedgehogs! These little guys are too cute for words!!! And, if you'd like to work on your own creations, check out the colorful hand-dyed sock yarn.

Feisty Elle

Leslie Yang is a graphic designer, as well as the owner of Feisty Elle, a handmade women's accessories business in San Francisco. This talented fiber artist's business was born out of her love of crafting, especially needle felting. Her latest work includes some lovely laser-cut dahlia felt earrings and brooches. The felt is 100% merino wool & the earrings are feather-weight and hung on 14k gold fill hoops. This is her first jewelry design & Leslie is very excited about how great they look and feel. She also creates a variety of beautiful hair accessories, such as the pinwheel hair clips. Perhaps my favorite hairclip that doubles as a brooch is the black & red pinwheel design that immediately makes me think of origami. And you don't want to miss the gorgeous needle felted Cherry Blossom brooch. These lovely flowers are also available in the form of bobby pins.

Chunky Chooky

Chunky Chooky is the place to find funky threads and cool things for small people. Cath Young, an Australia-based designer, uses recycled fabric from a furniture upholsterer and some vintage fabric, plus wool felt & scraps of discarded clothes to create fun softies & happy pants. Imaginative children & adults alike are sure to love humorous creatures like Raver Riley. And who could pass up the sweet face on Clementine von Vanderbeetle? My favorite design may be a Wabbit named Camilla that is made from a mixture of recycled upholstery fabric, cotton and recycled denim. Of course, my favorite part is that she has a felt carrot in case she gets hungry. And what about those happy pants, you ask. They are children's pants that are designed to grow with your child - no zippers, no buttons. Made with a generous waist, they will fit for a long time and can be utilized as little shorts next season.
