Crafts for a Cause
Saw this on the Create: blog & just had to share. When things are no longer at the forefront of the newscast, we tend to forget all the needs here at home. Click here to download supply list (includes shipping address). Click image for a larger view.

Independence Day Crafts

Independence Day Crafts

I came across this patriotic centerpiece project on Make and Takes & just had to create my own. It's a very inexpensive and easy project to complete. Also, I combined elements from two free 4th of July printables since I had a funky sized frame. Check out the 4th of July Word Art from The Crafting Chicks and God Bless America from Landee See, Landee Do. Both blog have tons of great crafting projects & more printables. I also love America the Beautiful from Anything but Perfect.

Veteran's Day

In honor of Veteran's Day, I'd like to share this photo of some of the Marines who represented Toys For Tots at The Experience. They were all so fun to work with and friendly. Thank you to all the attendees and vendors that donated toys. We delivered two large collection boxes full of toys to the Toys For Tots warehouse & will be sending a check for $1,000 from the charitable raffle! Thank you to all the brave men & women who selflessly give of themselves to protect America and our freedoms. We have a lot of Veterans in our family, including my husband Joe (an Army Veteran), so this day is very special to us.

May we all remember those who lost their lives & loved ones this day in 2001.
