Robbie Jenkins

We have had the pleasure of working with Robbie Jenkins for the past few years at our Funky Finds events, so I can tell you first hand that she is a terrific & unique person which is reflected in her wonderful artwork. A self-taught artist, Robbie was born & raised in Oklahoma and currently resides in Dallas. Her works include metal pieces that draw together mementos of times past, , such as drawer handles, oil tins, bed springs that have a whimsical flare. Robbie's wax collages have a twist of humor featuring various unique characters. She also creates vintage dictionary pendants that have vintage dictionary sheets under fused glass that are silver soldered on the sides and back. These are the perfect way to express oneself showing words that touch you for one reason or another. You can see Robbie's work in person this November at The Funky Finds Experience!

*GIVEAWAY - Closed - Congrats Vicki S & Sabrita! Robbie Jenkins is giving away two custom vintage dictionary pendants. To enter, visit Robbie's website & leave a comment on this post about your favorite type of work she does. Giveaway ends at 9pm EST, Sunday, August 22.

The pendants she makes are my favorite, though looking at everything it was very hard decision. The pendants have a steampunk quality I really enjoy, besides being wearable art that i can easily show off to my friends.

I'm partial to her altered art work - for some reason love the wierdness of using old doll heads. Also like the simplicity of the victorian dictionary pendants.

I actually like the Dictionary pieces best, I love old dictionaries, and am very interested in the history of language. It would be neat to see them combined with the Time Flies more ornate look.
